Ray Receives Award at Cape Cod Conference

PRI’s President Ray Daugherty recently received an award recognizing the many positive contributions he has made to the alcohol and drug field through his focus on research, education, and treatment. The Fred R. French, Jr. Award was presented to Ray at the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders (CCSAD) September conference held in Cape Cod, Hyannis, MA. The Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders is one of the oldest and largest annual meetings dedicated to continuing education and networking in the field of addictions.

According to Dee McGraw, Director of Education and Event Services for C4 Recovery Solutions and one of the conference partners, Ray received the award based on PRI’s emphasis on research-based programming and PRI’s extensive training, continuing education, and efforts to reduce the incidence of alcohol- and drug-related problems throughout the world. Dee commented that, "Ray exemplifies what the Fred R. French Award honors. His dedication to the field and his focus on integrating research into programming make him an excellent recipient."

Congratulations Ray! We are proud of you and appreciate the years (and years!) you have spent communicating a new view of alcohol- and drug-related problems. You have made a difference in the lives of people throughout the world.
